Castelo Branco

Thank you for praying for our church in Castelo Branco. We are seeing a lot of spiritual growth and some new people. We are excited about what the Lord is going to do. Recently we had a special event for Easter. We used Facebook ads to invite people from the community. We ended up having 3 first time visitors and others that had not come in a long time returned. Nevertheless, we ask you to continue to pray. Your prayers are important! We have recently lost some people that had started attending to Pentecostal churches in the area.

Bible Institute

Our pastor was able to come recently to teach a one weeklong seminar on hermeneutics and homiletics. That was a huge blessing. We had some people from our church attend, other pastors and missionaries, and a couple of young men from sister churches that feel the Lord might be calling them for the ministry. Please pray as we continue to invest in training the next generation of Portuguese preachers and church planters.

Missions trip

Thank you for praying for our missions’ trip to the Portuguese island of S. Jorge. We are now in the planning and registration stages. The trip will take place July 4-9th. The plan is to take a group of 10 people to pass out literature, talk to people and to hold a special evangelistic service. This is the island where I grew up in. It has about 10 thousand people and no Gospel preaching witness. Some of the people interested in the trip are young people from our camps that don’t have the necessary finances for this trip. A gift of 300$ would pay for one person to come on this trip (this includes plane tickets, transportation, food and lodging). This is a worthy cause, as you would be giving to reach souls with the gospel, but also becoming directly involved in the training of a young national for the ministry. Please contact if you are in a position to help.

Deputation trip to the US

We are planning a trip to the US to raise the rest of our support (ministry funds). We were blessed this month to receive word of a new supporting church. This event has made us begin to believe that maybe we don’t need to leave the field to go and raise the rest of our support. We ask you to join us praying that we can raise these funds without taking time off our work here. We really don’t want to leave the field for 2 or 3 months, as we believe we are in an important time of the work here in Portugal. We will need to see our current support increase and get some new supporters for this to happen. Thank you for praying for this.

Thank you for your love and support for the ministry in Portugal.

In His Service, Mark and Aura Pereira
