Urgent prayer request. We try not to abuse the word urgent and we feel that its use is justified in this case. Our pastor’s teenaged daughter is in the hospital in Boston on life support and the situation is serious. We would urge you to pray for Alex right now. We believe in a powerful God and we are praying that He would intervene in this situation for this family’s good and for His ultimate glory.

Thank you for praying for our support level. We are looking forward to getting back to Portugal and we are praying that we go back with the total amount in committed support. Because of your prayers, just in the last thirty days, our support level went from 49 to 58%. I was also able to speak on the phone with a pastor whose church is now supporting us without we ever visiting that church.

Please continue to pray for the church plant that is going on in Castanheira (North of Lisbon). Lord willing Bro. Tito, who is at this new church plant will finish his Bible Institute studies and get ordained this August. Also pray for the preparation work to get this new church organized in June, 2015. The group from Springfield, TN is coming then to help us distribute 50 000 John & Romans. This week we found out that those will be printed and shipped to us free of cost. We are thankful for that.

The church in Albufeira had their annual Missions Conference. A goal was established for the next 12 month’s missions giving. The new goal would allow for an increase in the support level and also to start supporting Bro. Tito (Castanheira), who gets ordained in August. Well, the people committed slightly more than the established goal. We are praising the Lord for the work He is doing in those hearts. This was the first Missions Conference that we were not a part of. Pr. Lenildo did a wonderful job organizing and leading the people. The guest speaker was missionary Allen Newton, my father-in-law. Through online streaming we were able to watch one of the services and the preaching was just what was needed.

We are also praising the Lord for a lady that was saved in Albufeira after the Easter service. Please pray for her growth and Christian walk. Her name is Maura.

In His Service, Mark and Aura Pereira
