“Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.”

Psalm 96:3

This Psalm encourages us to give to the Lord “the glory due unto His name”. The God that created the heavens and the earth, the God of truth and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ is worthy to receive glory, and honor, and power. Another Psalm tells us that “the heavens declare the glory of God”. Some disobedient Christian might argue “We don’t need to warn the unsaved, let them look at creation!” What a foolish feeling! As if we are not His creation. If we have been born again, through faith in Christ, we are now being made afresh into the image of God’s precious Son. As a special part of His creation, giving glory to Him is what we were made to do. The unsaved are able to see the power and sovereignty of God through what has been created, but they need know about God’s specific saving grace. We get to do exactly what we were made to do when we tell the unsaved about Jesus. Today, there is so much talk about personal fulfillment. Do you want to be fulfilled? Find your place in this world? Do what you were made to do, declare God’s glory among the heathen. Tell them of His power to save. Tell them about Jesus.
