Book Review: The Overflow

book_3d

This book, written by my good friend Michael Andrzejewski (the fact that I wrote his name myself from memory proves our friendship), is one of those books that you just can’t put down until you’re finished. As a Portuguese national, I am glad that there are families like this, that decide to live in the overflow. In their case, it brought them to my country, to tell my people about the risen Saviour.

The truth this books brings out is that there is no such thing as “the normal Christian life”, not as society defines it. The Christian life, lived in the fullness of the Spirit, has nothing that society can call normal. There might be some books, or commentaries that bring this point out, but this book is extremely helpful because, even though its approach is Biblical, it comes illustrated by the first-hand experience of the author.

I recommend this book to all that want to be challenged in their resolve to follow the God of their salvation.
