Dear Prayer Partners,
Greetings from the United States of America! First of all we would like to thank all the people that have sent letters, notes and emails with expressions of love and support. Your prayers for us and for the ministry that the Lord has called us to are so important. We love to hear from you, so please keep those coming.
August 25th was our last Sunday in Albufeira before coming to the US for a year of deputation work. We asked you to pray about this service. We wanted it to be an opportunity for our unsaved friends to come to church and hear the Gospel. We had never had so many people show up for church! The men in charge of welcoming the people just looked at me as people just kept showing up and more chairs had to be brought in. By the grace of God Carmen, a lady we had been praying for for a long time, got saved! Please pray for Carmen as she strives to grow in her newfound life in Christ.
A few days after we came to the US and we have already started meetings in churches. We have been in churches in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Alabama. We believe some of these churches will partner with us in the near future. Please pray as we travel to all these churches. The calendar is pretty full for September and October, but we still have dates to be filled in the months ahead.
There are good news coming from Portugal. The church in Albufeira is going very well. They have had several first time visitors and they are about to start a new members class as there is about one dozen people that have asked about joining the church. This month of September is when all the church ministries restart after the summer. We have restarted the Bible Institute and there are 8 students taking the courses. Missionary Mark Hale is teaching one class, and the students are also taking another class through videos that I have done two years ago. Pray for pastor Lenildo as they restart the outreach for the addicts and the weekly children Bible Club.
At the church plant in Northern Lisbon some exciting things are happening as well. There have been some first time visitors and others that have come back. Bro. Tito and his wife Marta have just become proud parents of little Rebeca Pereira. She was born on September 16th and both the mother and the baby are doing great. Please pray for this dear family as they feel led to eventually take full responsibility of this church plant.
Thank you for all your prayers and support.
In His Service, Mark and Aura Pereira

So glad to hear the good report, of the Church in Portugal and of the beginnings of your US tour. I have a brother who pastors a Church in New England… if you’re still looking for meetings maybe I can help you there. He is in Dublin, New Hampshire.
Thank you, Pastor. I have sent you an email as a reply to this.
